
Rosalind Trigg
An artist specializing in sporting dogs and hounds, Trigg, a native of Lexington, Kentucky has lived in Vienna, Austria, Heidelberg, Germany and on the Tuscan coast of Italy. Beyond America, her work has sold in Australia, Belgium, Canada, Finland, Great Britain, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland, Norway, New Zealand and Poland. In 2000 she returned to Italy to study with contemporary Tuscan painters of the Italian post-impressionist school.
She has won national competitions including Best in Show, Best Drawing, and Artists' Choice Awards at the Dog Fanciers Contemporary Art Competition in New York, receiving awards at the annual luncheon after the Westminster Dog Show, along with the judges and winning dog.
Her work has been published in the American Kennel Club Gazette, Dog World, Irish Wolfhound International Magazine, The Versatile Hunting Dog, The AKC Family Dog,the American Kennel Club Museum Publication Sirius, and exhibited at the AKC Museum of the Dog in St. Louis, Cross Gate Sporting Art Gallery, Lexington, Kentucky, Frost and Reed Gallery, New York, and in the Masters of Foxhounds Club of America Centennial Traveling Art Exhibit. Her artwork has been acquired for a line of men's fashion jewelry by Scott Kay, Inc. entitled Doberman. Fifteen original pieces were exhibited in a three-man show at the AKC Museum of the Dog during the summer of 2010.
